The RAI or also called Registry of Unpaid Acceptances is a file of defaulters where only debts or non- payments of legal persons are included. The minimum amount of debt to be included in the RAI is 300 euros and this company defaulting file is always up to date and basic information regarding each debtor can be consulted in order to find the risks that companies present.

How does the RAI file work?

In the RAI you will be able to consult the basic information of a legal person regarding the defaults and debts that it has contracted together with the date of the incidence of said payment. In the RAI, we can find data on taxation and assets that concern legal persons.

It is important to note that the companies that are included in the RAI have a debt of at least € 300 in the formats of promissory notes, checks and bills, among others.

What happens if my data is included in the RAI?

It is enough to generate a default to be included in this file of defaulters for companies. If a company or legal entity is included in the RAI, it will have problems obtaining any type of financing.
If a company wants to include another company in the RAI, it is obliged to send them a registered letter or Burofax within 30 days.

How can I know if I am in the RAI file?

To be included in the RAI, it is necessary to have acquired a debt of at least € 300. The company that wants to include another company in this delinquent file is responsible for sending a letter through an official channel. You should know that, if this requirement is not met, and it is included in the RAI, you can take legal action.
Another option that companies have to find out if they are included in the RAI is to go to their financial institution and request the report there. For privacy reasons, it is not secure that they provide you with all the complete information.

How can I get out of the RAI?

It is common to think that the best way to get out of the RAI is to pay the debt or debts that you have outstanding. Our TeichForum experts indicate that it is possible that even paying the debt, it continues to appear in the RAI since there are times that the data is not updated by those responsible for having included in this the file of company defaulters .
